Fellow Circassians,

 

We present to you the official Website of the Indigenous Autochonous Circassian Nation.  On the 7 11 2011 the Declaration of Circassian Nationhood was delivered to the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.  On this auspicious day, Circassians officially claimed the natuaral rights endowed to us and affirmed by international law and universally accepted standards.  These international laws and standards are the primary mechanism that the Circassian nation will utilize to obtain our rights to our homeland and within our homeland.  This homeland is Circassia, the ancient and eternal. 

 

The Circassian nation is a peaceful, secular and democratic European entity.  The mandate of the Circassian nation is the “Program to Save and Rehabilitate the Circassian Culture and Nation”, which was presented to the Russian State Duma on May 16 2011).  This mandate and the subsequent Constitution it shall facilitate, is the guiding principle of the Circassian Nation.  It is our line in the sand and our protection from destructive infighting, suspicion and foreign interference.  A provisional National Executive has been established to develop an organizational framework and to plan and organize the Inaugural Circassian National Congress, where an official Circassian Constitution, a national agenda and a formal and democratically elected National Executive will be created.  This National Congress will be held in Europe as soon as feasibly possible.

 

The time has come for Circassians to move beyond words and individual personalities.  It is time to build our nation.  Circassians require nobody's permission or recognition to do this, as it is granted automatically via the international mechanism and mandate of the UN security council and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).  Every nation needs to develop the institutions that ensure its survival and progress, and this must be the primary objective of the leadership and the citizens of the Circassian nation.  These citizens and the cultural, economic and political institutions they build are the foundation of the nation.  As such, every Circassian is called upon to:

 

1) reclaim your identity and place in citizenship of Indigenous Circassia Nation

 

2) Begin to exchange ideas on what will ultimately become the Constitution and the national agenda of Circassia

 

This Website will allow Circassians to do both: obtain an official Indigenous Circassian passport and interact with other Circassians to develop the Constitution and national agenda of Circassia, as well as to solicit qualified candidates for the key ministries and posts of the National Executive.  As the Circassian nation is using the provisions of the virtually universally accepted UNDRIP as its primary protocol, there is absolutely no basis whatsoever for any accusations of seperatism or subversion by any citizen or supporter of the Circassian nation.  The organisation of an indigenous directive is an internal autonomous function of an Indigenous peoples that does not in any way affect the sovereignty of a state, as stated in Article 46 of the UNDRIP.  In fact, states are obligated to support and assist in this process under Article 42 of the UN declaration.  The Indigenous Circassian nation operates under the premise, as do all the signatories of UNDRIP, that implementation of indigenous rights is an absolute good that is morally imparative and mutually beneficial for all parties concerned, and is ideally a cooperative process.
